Hi again lovely readers! Double posting today as you can see. Today is the second challenge (and second week) of the Girly Girl Nail Art Challenge. Honestly, today's "nail art" stunk! This can't even be called nail art I don't think! You're probably thinking, "umm you're right. That is not nail art, it's just a swatch...", wrong you are! There's actually a stealthy ninja stripe in there somewhere.
I started with a base of Essie - No Place Like Chrome, which I've been using a lot lately, and then decided to add a stripe of NYC - Tribbeca Silver down the middle of my nail. I totally thought it was going to actually be visible but I was wrong. I still think it looks cool though, kind of gives it some more shine and dimension?
Now onto the review!
I'm not going to include swatches because the pictures above are basically just that.
So, I received this polish from Klout (as a klout perk)... just putting it out there. Anyway, I've heard a ton of negative and bad comments/reviews of the Essie Mirror Metallic collection but I honestly loved the polish I got! The worst thing about it, just to get this out of the way, was that it showed even the slightest imperfections in the nails; and even that isn't a huge deal braker for me. In the swatches I had actually just buffed my nails so I don't think there's many imperfections visible. That's pretty much the only con I can think of. Now onto the pros, the formula was really great in my opinion, I seriously could've gotten away with one careful coat (I did wear it like that once) if I wanted. Basically from saying that you can already guess the formula is very pigmented, in fact this polish works amazing for stamping! It'll also work really great for nail art when I get around to it because it's so darn pigmented! Hmmm, what else? I overall just think it's a really great polish and I'd for sure recommend it! I also really want Penny Talks from that collection! LIKE REALLY BAD! *wink wink*
