Darling Diva Polish - Red After The Wolf

Hi lovelies, today I have another indie polish review for you! I recieved 4 polishes from Darling Diva Polish that I'll be posting seperately. I figured because this week is busy (summer challenge posts every other day!) it'd be easier to keep track of one polish at a time instead of overwhelming you with all four in one post! Okay, shall we get to it then?

Today we have the lovely polish, Red After The Wolf. It's a gorgeous large, medium, and small red hex glitter packed polish. It has a clear base with small silver holographic glitter. I used only 1 coat for the photos below and got a decent amount of glitter on my nail. Barely any glitter placement is needed. I loved this combo I did because the red glitters sort of blended in on the accent nail but the holographic glitters stood out and then on the rest of my nails the holographic glitters blended a little but the red hex glitters really popped. I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails - Tough Love on my ring finger and NYC - Tribeca Silver as my base colors.

Overall, I really enjoyed this polish. I'm only lately appreciating glitter topcoats and I have to say they're pretty fantastic especially because they're so versatile! Formula was great and so was application, plus it's so pretty! Love how the holographic bits give it some uniqueness (is that a word) and added visual interest.

Would I buy it? Yes, I'd definitely buy this nail polish. I think it's interesting, very versatile, and gorgeous.

Where is it sold? You can buy Darling Diva Polish at Carrie's Etsy shop. Carrie's shop should've been open today I believe but something must've gotten in the way or they just all sold out extremely quick and I'm late! Either way her shop should be opening soon. Her polishes range from $8.00 to $12.00 I believe.

Additional Info: I suppose I won't meet many dreadful people in the beauty blogging/nail polish selling etc. world but Carrie is so incredibly sweet! In fact I told her my 3 favorites and she ended up sending me 4! Also, I don't believe she's even started selling this particular polish yet if I'm correct so you all may be some of the firsts to see it! Enless I'm wrong haha :) Last thing, Carrie also told me, she tries to create her polishes so that they are mainly topcoats but can also become opaque by 3 coats or so.

What do you all think of this polish? Would you buy it? Oh, and another good question, what would you layer it over?

- xoxo Alexis Leigh

  1. It looks very Christmas-y over the silver! personally I wish it was a bit more smaller glitter particles in it but it is a really pretty polish.
