EOS Lip Balm Review

Hi guys! Today I have a pretty exciting post, my first ever review (well that I received from a company directly)!!!!! I know I usually do nail posts but doing a beauty post unrelated to nails feels like I'm getting back to my roots but let's save that for another post.

A few weeks ago I received 3 lip balms from EOS. I love their products (I used to have sweet mint but the little sister ruined it) and their unique packaging so I was super excited to try out some more of their stuff! I'm going to go over each lip balm separately but they're all alike in most ways. I got Sweet Mint, Summer Fruit, and Medicated Tangerine. Kind of funny little tidbit, my little sister, Lucie who's two saw these and kept calling them eggs which totally makes sense; they look like cool colored dinosaur eggs or something! Anyway...onto the reviews under the picture! :)

Sweet Mint (mint colored "egg") is up first! The smell on this one was just as the flavor says, it smelled sweet but minty and fresh. It feels and smells really clean like after you just brush your teeth, just a little bit tingly but not enough to be uncomfortable. I love the way it applies, it goes on really smooth, not too thick and not too thin. I found myself reapplying all the flavors because they smelled and felt so good! Basically this is just a really clean and fresh lip balm, possibly the most moisturizing out of all three but it was close.

Summer Fruit (red/coral) is no doubt my favorite scent out of all three. I can't even pinpoint the exact fruity smell that's there but it's so amazing! It smells extremely flirty and summery. Oh my goodness, I seriously could not stop smelling it! I would take it out and smell it so often I wouldn't even put it on every time, I'd just inhale the fruity goodness. They all applied the same, buttery but definitely not greasy.

Medicated Tangerine (orange) doesn't sound extremely yummy, does it? I was really surprised when I smelt it because it was much more pleasant than I had thought it would be. There's a little bit of a medicine smell in there but it also smells orange-y and kind of creamy if that's even possible. As you might be able to guess, this lip balm is anti-bacterial so it protects against bacterial contamination. I think this is a great lip balm if you're going to be kissing cute little baby faces or someone else...*wink wink* it keeps you and the other person protected against icky bacteria. Like sweet mint and summer fruit this applied wonderfully.

Overall they're "performance" was pretty much the same. Though each one does have it's individual benefits. They're packaging may be a bit tricky to fit in your pocket but great to find in a purse! I love the sphere shape because it's really easy to apply all over your lips. Of course they're gorgeous colors and shape gives them a few more points in my book! Here's some more benefits, EOS is not tested on animals and they're lip balms are all 100% natural and 95% USDA-certified organic! They have great ingredients in them like vitamin E which provided antioxidant protection, smooths and heals, shea butter which softens and nourishes, and jojoba oil which provides long-lasting moisture. I know, you're already sold but one more plus, their lip balms are also petrolatum and paraben-free, yay!

And now the million dollar question, Would I purchase it? I'd say yes, absolutely yes! I myself am a chapstick junkie but finding one that actually works and that I don't have to apply every 5 minutes is a difficult task! However, in EOS lip balms I have definitely found my favorite chapstick/lip balm. I also think the price is really affordable so I'd have to problem paying $3.29 for one of these babies! If I had to pick just one I'd say Summer Fruit just because it smells the yummiest :)

Where is it sold?  If you're looking to purchase some of these awesome lip balms you can get them in Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, drugstore.com, or their website, evolutionofsmooth.com and they retail for about $3.29! Pretty reasonable for their quality in my opinion!
