Darling Girl Cosmetics - Superstar Serum (POTW)

Hey guys! It's my turn to pick one of my favorite products (or something I'm just really loving at the moment) from Darling Girl Cosmetics as my POTW (pick of the week). If you guys don't remember what that is, you really only need to know that the item I pick will be on sale this week only (so pick it up!). But, if you want to know more about Glamour Girls and POTWs head on over here or here to read up.

So, now to the point of the post. I picked the Superstar Serum from Darling Girl to be my POTW because I've really fallen in love with it. Ever have an eyeshadow that's so gorgeous and you just wish you could turn it into an eyeliner? Or maybe you have a metallic shadow that you want to foil? Superstar Serum is a super easy and awesome way to do both of those things.

Video Demonstration using Superstar Serum:

Products Used:
- Eyes
Primer, Urban Decay - Primer Potion Original
Base, NYX Jumbo Pencil - Milk
Highlight, Urban Decay - Foxy (Naked 2)
Inner Corner, Outer Corner, Darling Girl Cosmetics - Eclipse
Middle of eye lid, Waterline, Darling Girl Cosmetics - *Man Candy (Blush)
Bottom Lashline, Crease, Darling Girl Cosmetics - Honey Pot
Eyeliner, Concrete Minerals - Bulletproof & Darling Girl Cosmetics - Superstar Serum
Mascara, Maybelline - Great Lash

*A little bit about Darling Girl Cosmetics, Man Candy (the pink I used). Man Candy is actually a duochrome blush which isn't approved for use on the eyes in the US (but is approved for use on the eyes in the UK). Nothing happened to me but I'd definitely comply with the rules to stay on the safe side unless of course you live in the UK! Just wanted to make that clear to everyone! Nonetheless Man Candy is a gorgeous shade and would be just as amazing as a blush (I heavily built up the color on my lid to make it super "punchy").

So what do you guys think of this makeup look? Super bright, I know! Are you planning on grabbing the Superstar Serum? Ahh I just love it :D I've already done three looks using it (you'll see the second soon, the pictures for the third look were terrible)!

*AND.. in case you guys didn't read the page describing what a GG is, I won't profit in any way from you buying London Calling nor do I get free products because I'm a Glamour Girl. I DO get a 20% discount though.

Lumi

Hi again! Today I have another makeup post for you! It's probably pretty hard if not nearly impossible to tell that this is the makeup I wore when I shot the Elijah & Co. Camera Bag review (same day). I meant to get this up sooner but wasn't able to. I loved this makeup because it was super simple but seemed a little bit ethereal and fairy like because of Lumi (which I'll talk more about later).

The full face shot was taken in sunlight without flash and the closer shot was taken with flash in indirect sunlight so that's why some of the details and colors vary slightly. And I'm just going to out myself on this one... if you're friends with me on Facebook you might have seen this first picture. It is a teensy bit more edited (both to look more realistic and hide some of my skin blemishes O: ) in this post :P I can't leave anything alone haha

Sometimes it's the simpler looks that you end up really liking! I'm not going to list the products used this time because aside from Lumi I really didn't use anything special or unusual. The brown shadows are from a BH palette and all my skin products are the same as what they always are (check out my Sugarpill Sunset makeup post and scroll down to the "face" products to see what I normally use.)

Anyway, to talk a little bit about Sugarpill - Lumi (used in the tear ducts and on inner lid... it's the light color with the strong green/teal shimmer). I actually purchased this color in a trio when Sugarpill had their Anniversary sale on Valentine's day. I had heard tons of people raving about Lumi but I never really liked it, even in swatches. So, to say I wasn't expecting anything spectacular would be pretty accurate. I did want to see what all the fuss was about though and the two other colors in the Sugarpill trio were ones I had really been wanting anyway. Of course when I ended up trying Lumi I absolutely fell in love with it and finally understood what everyone was talking about. Lumi is a white based loose shadow with a very strong green/teal shifting shimmer. Holy moly this is the epitome of ethereal in my opinion and reminds me of a forest fairy or something, I can't get over how gorgeous this is in person! I have a weird obsession with fairies (who doesn't?) too so that makes me love this shadow even more :P I can honestly say I haven't met a Sugarpill shadow that I haven't loved and wanted to marry. SO, after all that blabbering, the point is... if you're thinking about trying Lumi (or any Sugarpill product for that matter) and are hesitant or unsure, I say buy it right this minute. With Sugarpill I KNOW I am getting products worth their price!

Man, can I talk a lot or what?

So, what do you guys think of this look? Your cup of tea? Not your cup of tea? Let me know :)

*Just want to mention I purchased these products and am in no way being compensated by writing ANY of this. I know I went off and got crazy Sugarpill fangirl for a sec but I stand by my opinion and I want to reiterate that it is completely honest and my own experience.

Une Nuit à Paris

First off, just going to hope that Google Translate didn't let me down and that title is grammatically correct haha. Anyway, I bought the Limited Edition Sigma Paris Palette a little while back and finally got around to editing this simple look I created using some of the colors from it. The palette's packaging is so beautiful and detailed and the shadows are equally as stunning. Overall, this palette is so beautiful and I'm really really happy I purchased it. I just may have a second brand new one looking for a home too so stay tuned for a giveaway with that one ;)

I'm terrible because I don't remember the exact colors for sure I used on my crease but I do know that the teal color is Orsay and the white gold shade is Versailles. In my crease is a combo of Elysées and Notre Dame I'm almost positive!

What do you guys think of this look? Are you a sucker for pretty packaging too? Who would like to win this gorgeous palette? ;)
